General Safety
Fire/First Aid
There are fire extinguishers in the kitchen, under the sink and next to the refrigerator. There is also a First Aid Kit and flashlight under the kitchen sink .
Wildlife
Being in the mountains also means you may meet the occasional bear, deer, or other wildlife.
- Don’t leave food outside or in your car
- If you take out trash, be sure the bin is closed
- Lock car doors—yes, bears can open them
- Watch for deer when driving
Driving
If you are visiting during the winter, it's best to have a 4-wheel (or at least front-wheel) drive. Some of the roads may be iced over or otherwise hard to traverse
